The Itor Adivasi Nari Bahini Water User Association of Nabagram, Murshidabad, marked the sixth day of Aranya Saptaho with a vibrant display of environmental consciousness and cultural heritage. The event, held under the ADMI Project (WBADMIP), was organized by the association with motivation and support from IMAGIN, the support organization of WBADMIP in Murshidabad . The celebration featured tree planting, traditional dance, songs, and a discussion meeting.
Key officials participated in the event, including Saptami Sarkar, Forest Range Officer of Lalbagh Division, and several members from the project team. Assistant Engineer Asif Anwar Hossain, Procurement Engineer Anirban Pal, Sub Assistant Engineer Subrata Naskar, and Agriculture Field Assistant Suraj Debnath were among those present.
Following a warm welcome to the guests, the event commenced with an engaging discussion session. The highlight of the day was the extensive tree planting drive. Members of the association planted trees around their Water Distribution System (WDS) and mixed fruit gardens. The initiative also extended to the village, where new saplings were planted to replace dead trees.

The day concluded with Range Officers and DPMU officials conducting an inspection of the WDS and mixed fruit gardens, assessing the progress of the project.
This event underscores the growing synergy between tribal communities, support organizations, and government initiatives in promoting environmental sustainability and rural development in West Bengal. The role of IMAGIN in motivating and supporting the Itor Adivasi Nari Bahini Water User Association demonstrates the effectiveness of collaborative efforts in implementing community-driven projects under WBADMIP.
